NEW BOARD · COMMENCING JUNE 2026
Meet the
2026–27 Board.
The team stewarding NSA SoCal through the year ahead — eight leaders committed to developing speakers, connecting members, and elevating the profession.
Leading the Chapter
The President
Hilary brings energy, empathy, and a touch of playfulness to everything she does, creating meaningful connections with audiences and teams alike. As a dynamic speaker, facilitator, and executive coach, she draws on her extensive experience helping leaders and organizations unlock their potential.
With a background in talent development, positive intelligence, and emotional resilience, Hilary has spent over two decades guiding teams to move from conflict to collaboration, from stress to success, and from surviving to thriving. As President, she leverages her passion for fostering connection and growth to create a community where members feel valued, inspired, and equipped to lead with purpose.
The Continuity Line
Stewards of past and future
Sam is a speaker, author, and Demartini Method facilitator, helping leaders stay composed when people get under their skin. His keynote Composure Through Conflict was rated Best of Conference at the 2026 CAI National Law Seminar, and he was named NSA SoCal Chapter Member of the Year in 2026.
Sam has served the chapter as Director of Marketing. He views the President-Elect role as stewardship of a chapter built by those who came before and entrusted to those who follow. His focus: empowering members to thrive in business. When he is not speaking, he loves reading, cooking, and DJing.
Tony Award–winning Broadway producer, award-winning filmmaker, and story coach Nick Demos connects with audiences by authentically and vulnerably sharing compelling stories. From challenging moments to phenomenal successes, he offers teachings with truth and a keen sense of humor. He speaks for entrepreneurs and corporations and — despite being a highly sought-after creative artist — has even been a speaker for financial advisors.
His work helps people tap into their innate creativity and share their stories so they can connect with clients, customers, teammates, and audiences.
The Working Board
Four directors leading the chapter
Trish Keiller is a former educator and the founder of Roots Education, where she helps principals, superintendents, and district leaders integrate well-being into how schools approach learning, culture, and performance through her Brain-Body Literacy™ framework. Her work is grounded in 30 years in education — including 16 years teaching middle and high school math — alongside training in yoga, mindfulness, and leadership coaching. As NSA SoCal's Finance Director, Trish brings the conviction that well-being and achievement aren't competing priorities; they're connected.
DeShawn Wynn, CMP, is the founder and Chief Meeting Architect of Wynning Touch Event Design, where she brings more than 20 years of experience designing and executing events for corporate, government, nonprofit, and education organizations. A Certified Meeting Professional, DeShawn specializes in strategically designed meetings that engage attendees, embrace new technologies and formats, and deliver measurable return on an organization's goals — spanning portfolio strategy, meeting design, logistics, and measurement. As NSA SoCal's Operations Director, DeShawn keeps the chapter running smoothly behind the scenes, building the systems and structure that help members connect, learn, and grow.
Using his humor and stories to create a deeper connection with audiences, Dan likes to make the uncomfortable more relatable. As an accomplished storyteller and international speaker, Dan incorporates his own lived experiences, in addition to industry-proven research, to craft engaging and relatable experiences for audiences. Dan has given two TEDx talks, has been presented with various fancy speaker recognitions and awards due to his humorous, authentic and vulnerable approach to difficult topics with audiences, and has served NSA SoCal for a plethora of years. Having worked in the higher education space for nearly 20 years, he also serves as Vice President of the North American Interfraternity Conference. Dan lives near Hermosa with his two teenagers and gets called 'bruh' quite a lot. In what little free time he has, Dan enjoys rewatching The West Wing, reading Brandon Sanderson books, and attempting to make true southern style sweet tea.
Cesar Cardona is a speaker and mindfulness educator certified through Rice University and trained by Sri Lankan and Tibetan Buddhist monks. His framework, Growth Mindfulness, blends inner stillness with purposeful action — helping leaders and teams quiet the mental noise that clouds judgment. Shaped by a childhood that crossed cultural, political, and racial divides, he brings warmth and groundedness to every room. As Director of Membership, Cesar is focused on welcoming new members and building a chapter where every speaker feels they belong.
We stand on the shoulders of giants
Just as NSA members stand on the shoulders of Cavett Robert, NSA SoCal members stand on the shoulders of our past presidents.
Forty-three leaders have served NSA SoCal as president across four decades. Their service built the chapter we steward today.
